Scope

This notice explains cookies and related browser storage on aethis.io and our Aethis-hosted forms at forms.aethis.io. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains the personal information we collect, why we use it, and your rights.

A cookie is a small piece of data stored by a website in your browser. Cookies can last for a browsing session or remain until they expire or are deleted. Websites can also use storage such as localStorage or temporary information held in browser memory. These technologies have different lifetimes and purposes.

Current analytics and advertising practices

The current Aethis public site does not use persistent analytics or advertising cookies. We do not use cookies for public-site login, personalisation, advertising, or ecommerce.

PostHog EU uses memory-only analytics persistence. Analytics identifiers are held in browser memory rather than saved in cookies or localStorage for recognition across visits. This does not mean analytics events are never sent to or retained by PostHog; the limited collection and purposes are described in our Privacy Policy.

Our analytics configuration permits pageviews and a small allowlist of categorical conversion and pricing events. Person profiles, DOM autocapture, session recording, surveys, and automatic exception capture are disabled. We do not currently use advertising trackers.

Necessary security and form storage

Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. When required, it may set strictly necessary security or anti-abuse cookies, including cookies supporting challenge and other security mechanisms. Whether these are set depends on the protections applied to a request. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation for information about its mechanisms; this is not a claim that every cookie listed there is used on Aethis.

forms.aethis.io is an Aethis-operated, self-hosted HeyForm deployment for waitlist responses, contact enquiries, and optional Product & Engineering Updates subscriptions. It may use necessary cookies or other storage required to operate the Aethis-hosted form experience. Specific cookie names and lifetimes are not listed here because they have not yet been verified for this deployment.

Your browser controls

You can use your browser settings to inspect, delete, or block cookies and other site storage. Consult your browser’s help for the controls it provides. Cookie blocking does not by itself disable analytics that uses browser memory rather than cookies.

The static public pages do not require persistent analytics or advertising cookies to display their content. Blocking necessary security or form storage may affect a particular challenge or form interaction, depending on the mechanism involved; it does not mean refusing cookies generally makes Aethis unusable.

Future changes

If Aethis introduces non-essential persistent analytics, advertising, or similar technologies, we will update this notice and any applicable consent controls before deployment. We will obtain consent where applicable law requires it.

We may also update this notice to reflect changes in necessary storage, operations, or legal requirements. The last-updated date identifies the latest revision.
