OneUptime MCP server

Can do more

211 tools · Last check that passed 27 Oct 2026, 01:50 UTC

OneUptime's own remote MCP server gives an agent a OneUptime project's monitors, incidents, alerts, on-call policies, status pages, scheduled maintenance and telemetry such as logs, metrics and traces, and, with no sign-in, the incidents and announcements of public status pages. Once a day, Stackduke connects to it the way any MCP client would, with no account and no sign-in, and lists its tools. It never runs them.

The tools the server listed at the last check that passed, at its default address and settings, with no sign-in; an account that signs in, or other settings, may see other tools. What a tool is counted as doing is Stackduke's cautious reading of the server's labels, the tool's name and its description: where they disagree it takes whichever says the tool can do most, so it overcounts on purpose. It does not say the server is safe, and it does not list what a tool cannot do. Descriptions are not shown, because they are written for models and may try to steer them.

Recent checks

9 of the last 9 checks passed

A check passes when the server lists its tools. Checked at https://oneuptime.com/mcp.

What to watch for
  • With a sign-in or an API key, it has create, update and delete tools for 30 kinds of record, including monitors, incidents, status pages and on-call policies. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
  • add_incident_note with public visibility posts the note to the public status page. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
  • OneUptime warns never to give an agent a master API key, which the server also accepts and which grants admin access to the whole instance. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
  • Status page incidents and announcements written by other companies, and log lines come back to the agent as text, and text an agent reads can carry instructions for it. OWASP, prompt injection
How to limit it

With OneUptime's own settings, as its documentation describes them. Stackduke has not tested them.

  • Choose Read only when signing in. OneUptime says a read-only client can use only the get_, list_ and count_ tools, and that tools that create, update, delete, acknowledge or resolve are refused. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
  • For an unattended agent, OneUptime advises a project API key with Viewer access when the agent only reads, and the least access it needs otherwise. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
  • OneUptime's Authorize MCP Client block permission stops a team from connecting MCP clients, and project owners and admins can disconnect any client under Project Settings, AI, MCP Server. OneUptime's MCP server documentation
What Stackduke is designed to do

Stackduke is designed to sit between your agents and their MCP servers: to check each tool call against your rules before it runs, hold the risky ones for a person to approve, and keep a record of what was decided.

It does not yet forward or block tool calls for customers. Today it reads what this server offers and publishes what changes.

Stackduke is not affiliated with or endorsed by OneUptime. The OneUptime name belongs to its owner and is used here only to name its MCP server.

How the tracker works, and every other server it checks, is on the tracker page. The scanner and its data are open source at github.com/Stackduke/mcp-scanner.
